Remote recording has opened up a world of possibilities. Instead of being limited to whoever is available in your area, you now have access to hundreds of talented engineers, producers and musicians from all over the world, who are all eager to work with people like you.
AirGigs has some of the most talented and experienced people in the industry, giving you the possibility of creating your very own dream team and taking your music to the next level.
Here is a short guide on how to find the right talent for your next project.
FINDING YOUR PEOPLE
Be very clear on your needs. Are you looking for a bass player or drummer for a song that has already been recorded? Or are you wanting to start from scratch and do a full song production that might involve multiple musicians and engineers?
Once you know exactly what you are needing, you can begin your search. AirGigs has specific catagories (such as song production, vocalists, drums, mixing etc) as well as a search bar with filter options, to make finding the perfect talent quick and easy.
POINTS TO CONSIDER
Genre
Most musicians, engineers and producers are open to any type of music, but some are specialists in a specific genre. This is usually noted in the Service Provider’s listing, but if you are unsure, you can always contact them and ask.
Audio Clips
Our Service Providers will have audio clips available for you to listen to (and sometimes video clips too). This is great way of hearing previous work and gives you an idea of what to expect.
Try Before You Buy
Some AirGigs Service Providers allow you to request a sample of their work (for a small fee) before you place an order. This is perfect if you’d like to hear their ideas for your particular track before committing to the finished version.
Reviews
Be sure to check out reviews that have been left by previous Service Users. You will see both Verified and Unverified (Street Cred) reviews. A verified review is from someone who has paid for and completed work with the Service Provider on AirGigs. Unverified reviews have been left by people the Service Provider has worked with previously outside of AirGigs.
You will clearly be able to see on the Service Provider’s listing which reviews are verified and unverified.

If anyone catches your attention, you can add them to your favorites list to review later. Each listing has a handy Favorite button which can be found under Contact Me:

On all listing pages, you will find this box containing lots of useful info.
Revisions
Each Service Provider will specify how many revisions they will allow you to make. A Revision is an edit or change that can be requested by the client after work has been delivered to them. In the above example, the Service Provider is offering up to 3 revisions.
Delivery
This tells you the expected turnaround time for your order. These vary from seller to seller, but in the above example, the turnaround time is 3 days.
Video Chat
If you’d like to discuss your project over Zoom or Skype, this icon lets you know if the Service Provider offers this service.
Send a Message
If you have any questions at all you are always welcome to message one of our Service Providers who will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
POSTING TO THE PROJECTS BOARD
Alternatively, you can add a post to our Projects Board specifying what you’re needing for your project. Our Service Providers will then send you custom offers and quotes for their services. All the offers are available to view in your AirGigs account and you can contact any of the sellers for more info or to go ahead with an order.
